Leadership Position in NS

This has been in my mind for awhile now: becoming a sergeant in NS. On one hand, I will like to be a sergeant, to be able to lead people to do things, and of course the pay and privileges that come with it. On the other hand, my knee joint that has been giving me problems, my overall physical fitness and some tasks that needs to be done in the army that I won't want to do, tells me to just be a normal men. (grammar? Part of the men, right?)
